Worship

Sunday Morning Worship

On Sunday mornings at 11:00 in the sanctuary located at 410 Dingess Street (across from Thornhill Jeep) we worship together. Our services include singing (traditional hymns), special music provided by members of the congregation, a sermon by our pastor, and an opportunity to respond to God’s call.

The service is not very formal, but allows for the Holy Spirit to lead as he will. We may sing more songs or hear more testimonies, and not have a long sermon, or the pastor may preach right away and we sing as a response. It’s a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere where you can feel free to sit back and watch, sing along, even shout out an “Amen!” and raise your hand!

People who attend come dressed in a variety of ways. Some men may wear a suit and tie while most will have on a polo shirt. Some women wear a skirt or dress while many wear slacks. Some of our people even come in jeans or sweat pants and a t-shirt. Whatever you’re wearing, you will not feel out of place and will be equally welcomed.

Sunday Evening Worship

On Sunday evenings at 6:00, we again meet in our sanctuary for worship. This evening service is less formal and people dress down a lot more. The music is less traditional and there may be more sharing from the congregation or something other than a sermon by the pastor. This service rarely goes over an hour.

Wednesday Evening Prayer Meeting

On Wednesday evenings at 7:00 we meet in the sanctuary for a time when we focus on prayer. We still sing a few songs and hear a message by the pastor or someone else, but we spend more time remembering those in our congregation and community who need prayer, and spend extra time praying for them, many at the altar, many at their seats.
