What a great weekend! We had over 50 people at the Saturday Meet & Greet; over 100 people in attendance at the celebration worship service; and even more at the following dinner. By all accounts all of the services and events were enjoyed by all!

Anniversary Celebration Schedule:
Saturday, November 8, 2025, 4:00 – 6:00 PM
Join us on Saturday at 4:00 for a “Meet & Greet” where we’ll have light refreshments, lots of fun as we recall some church history, sing some songs and hear some stories from the years past and have some games and prizes testing your knowledge of Logan Nazarene history! The special speaker will be Dr. John Anderson, who was pastor 2014-2016.
Sunday, November 9, 2025, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Sunday morning at 10:00, we’ll meet in the sanctuary for our celebration worship service with special speaker, Dr. Mervin Smith, West Virginia South District Superintendent 1997-2018. We’ll also enjoy special music by Dena Miller, Worship Pastor at West Logan Church; receive greetings (live and on video) from former pastors or their spouses, denominational leadership, and government officials. We’ll also honor past members who have gone on to glory. Everyone in attendance will receive a special gift to remember our time together!
Sunday, November 9, 2025, 12:30 – 2:30 PM
Following our celebration worship service we’ll gather in the Wallen Auditorium for a catered dinner together. During dinner we’ll see a slideshow that will take us through our 90 years, with a presentation of our history. Following dinner, we’ll hear a special message from Dr. B. W. Hambrick, who pastored here 1974-1986. Everyone in attendance will receive special gifts to remember our celebration of 90 years in Logan!
Need a hotel room?
We have reserved blocks of rooms at both the Holiday Inn Express and Candlewood Suites, at a discounted rate for November 8th.
Both hotels can make your reservation for either two double beds or one queen-size bed. If you want to come a night early or stay a night later, both should give you the same discounted rate, as long as they have rooms available, but be sure to ask for our group rate (“Nazarene Anniversary”).
Holiday Inn is about 3.5 miles from the church and is located near several restaurants and stores, including Walmart. Their discounted rate is about $129/night. To make a reservation, call their local number, 304-752-6495.
Candlewood Suites is about a mile from the church (with just one turn to make). There are a few restaurants nearby, including those downtown. Candlewood’s discounted rate is about $125/night. To make a reservation, call their local number, 304-752-8650.
Can’t make it?
Please send us greetings (perhaps with a favorite memory) to read and add to our memory book of our history! Mail to Pastor Daryl Densford, PO Box 1410, Logan, WV 25601. If you’re a former Pastor or Associate Pastor, and can’t make it, we’d love to receive greetings on video to show at the service. Contact Pastor Daryl for coordination.
